Cradles, Gantries, Mono-rails & Walkways

It is a legal requirement to ensure that all suspended access systems are safe and fit for the purpose for which it was intended. Each system should be tested, inspected and certified by a competent person to ensure compliance to the relevant standards, regulations and the relevant manufacturers' guidelines.

We offer a maintenance, inspection and testing service. This service is key to ensure your fall protection system remains safe and serviceable for continued use.

We would normally suggest a standard service regime as below:

Month 1

  • Full operational test and service of the complete system
  • Thorough inspection of the complete system (can be completed with insurer)
  • Load test

Month 4

  • Inspection, service and basic operations testing

Month 7

  • Full operational test and service of the complete system
  • Thorough inspection of the complete system (can be completed with insurer)

Month 10

  • Inspection, service and basic operations testing

We would normally suggest supplementary testing/thorough examination as below (in accordance with Safed LG3 guidelines), this regime may vary depending of your system and its use:

10 yearly

  • Track hold down units (HDU’s) – at least 5% of uplift
  • Secondary brake
  • Luffing screw nut
  • Articulating bogies of trolley units
  • Turntables
  • Winches and stop blocks
  • Miscellaneous parts

Planned preventative maintenance of your system is key in preventing breakdowns and failures. This improves system reliability and decreases potential down time and subsequent costs whist keeping the system safe for the users.

We offer fixed price service contracts for 1-5 year periods, these can be tailored to your needs.
